With Dirty Pair, unlike Bubblegum Crisis, the sequel is superior to the first installment. But a fan of one is going to have a hard time finding something as similar to it, as the other. The key difference between the two is that Bubblegum Crisis is more of a masked hero show while Dirty Pair is more along the lines of 007's action espionage.īubblegum Crisis is shorter, and in my humble opinion, a lot better. Crash is a 3 part mini-series that ran from 1991 to 1992 with character designs from Hiroaki Ghoda and Kenichi Sonoda. (for the most part, couple robots and fictional creatures do happen) The shows aesthetics and character designs are instantly comparable and boast among the best visuals in anime that go way beyond holding up. Bubblegum Crash is the first sequel to Bubblegum Crisis, a mecha cyberpunk anime series that stars four crime-fighting cybernetically enhanced female soldiers. Groups of young women fighting the evils of their respective universes, in Bubblegum Crisis it's cyborgs and in Dirty pair just evil dudes with evil plans.
