Well from a manufacture's point of view you paid for product/service for a certain period of time that they have calculated into So we come to "force obsolescence", to you that seems to mean that if it is possible, Gigabyte should make it work for you. Good you are lucky (and in fact most will be lucky). Possible that the old drivers might work just fine in Windows 10. It just not economical for any manufacture to update drivers for something that old. But something that old you are not going to get new drivers. If I have a 15 year old motherboard it might have all the specs needed to run Windows 10. In a nutshell the hardware is only part of the picture, and the BIOS, and drivers and such are the rest. Microsoft can state that XXX is the minimum requirements to run Windows 10.īut it is the minimum, not a guarantee that Windows 10 will work on that machine, or if it will run into problems or not.
